What is server in networking and how it works

What is Server ?

Server in Networking is widely used day by day to manage and arrange collection of Data.

Basically, In Networking server may be a computer or system that gives resources, data, services, or programs to other computers, referred to as clients, over a network. In theory, whenever computers share resources with client machines they're considered servers. There are many sorts of servers, including web servers, mail servers, and virtual servers.
An individual system can provide resources and use them from another system at an equivalent time. this suggests that a tool might be both a server and a client at an equivalent time.

How Server Works in Networking  ?

When a client requires data or functionality from a server, it sends an invitation over the network. The server receives this request and responds with the acceptable information. this is often the request and response model of client-server networking, also referred to as the decision and response model. That's method using by server to exchange data over Network Server.

Types of Server in Networking   ?

There are Many Types of Server in Networking So we Explain Mainly 6 types of Servers ......

1.)  Application Server : In Simple Words Application Server is the Interface Between Database Server and End-user Sometimes called it is a type of Middle-ware.This is used to connect End user Application to Database Server. For Example : Whatsapp, Facebook etc.

2.) Client Servers : Basically, Client/Server is a Program Model, that is Execute when request received from Client and it's accepts request and fulfill their request and Exchange Particular Data. For Example HTML is a Example of Client server side example.when we fill online form then we consider when if we empty some fields then it's show error. Because Client Servers run at the Back-end and some JavaScript Embedded Codes called Form Validation.

3.) Mail Servers : Mail Server move and store mail over many global Networks via LANs and WANs and across Internet. For Example : Google Mail Server (Gmail) Yahoo Mail Server (Email) Hotmail etc.

4.) Web Servers : we all use web server on the Internet by using HTTP or HTTPS Protocol on the Different Platforms.Basically, Web server serves Static content or data to a Web Browser by loading a file from a disk and serving it across the network to a user's web browser. Our Web browser uses Web Servers.

5.) FTP Servers : FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol used for Exchange and Manipulate files over directly two connected Computers.FTP works on port no 23.

6.)  SQL Server : A SQL server named as Structured Query Language Developed By Microsoft.Basically, it is used in RDBMS to manage and manipulates Database's on the Request of Clients.
